Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the unethical practice of using someone else's work, ideas, or words without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text or data from previously published sources without citation.
  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another's work without proper attribution.
  • Reproducing figures, tables, or illustrations without permission or credit.
  • Submitting work that is not original, including content written by third-party agencies or AI tools without disclosure.

The Journal of Pure and Applied Agriculture (JPAA) strictly follows international academic publishing standards and considers all forms of plagiarism a serious violation of research and publication ethics.

Plagiarism Detection Tool

All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software.

Similarity Threshold

To ensure originality and academic integrity, the following similarity limits are strictly enforced:

  • Total Similarity Index must not exceed 19%.
  • Similarity from any single source must not exceed 4%.

Manuscripts exceeding these limits will be returned for revision or rejected, depending on the extent and nature of the overlap.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript will be either rejected or returned for revision, based on severity. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted, and the author(s)’ affiliated institutions may be notified. In repeated or severe cases, the authors may be banned from future submissions to the journal.
