Corrections & Errata Policy

The Journal of Pure and Applied Agriculture (JPAA) is dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. This policy outlines how the journal addresses errors discovered in published articles through corrections and errata.

Erratum

An erratum will be issued when a significant error is made during the production or publishing process (e.g., typographical mistakes, errors in author names or affiliations) that does not affect the overall findings or conclusions.

Corrigendum

A corrigendum will be issued when the authors identify significant errors in their published work that may affect the interpretation or conclusions of the article.

Process for Corrections

Upon identification of an error, authors or readers should notify the editorial office with detailed information. The editorial board will assess the nature and impact of the error. If warranted, a formal correction notice will be published promptly and linked to the original article. The original article will remain unchanged but will include a note directing readers to the correction.

  • Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the meaning or interpretation of the article may not require formal correction.
  • In cases where errors severely undermine the validity of the article, retraction may be considered instead of a correction.

Correction notices are published openly and are freely accessible, ensuring transparency in the scholarly record. All corrections are indexed and linked to the original article in all online versions.
