Publication Ethics

International Journal of Literacy Theory and Practice follows the publication ethics and malpractice policies as outlined by AIOU and HEC. JIE believes that authors must follow the publication ethics and malpractices policies as laid down by AIOU, and HEC. In case of any breach of policy rules is found, the editorial team reserves the right to take legal action/ penalty accordingly.

Submission of Manuscript

To submit your paper, you must be registered with IJLTP Online Journal System. 

The Journal also accepts online submission through drajmal@aiou.edu.pk. The manuscript should be e-mailed or sent on a CD in MS Word 2000 or later format as a single file accompanied by a matched hard copy. The soft and hard copies of the manuscript complete in all respect should be addressed to the Editor IJLTP, Room # 103, Department of Distance, Non-formal and Continuing Education, ICT Building, AIOU, Islamabad.

To avoid unnecessary delay in publication, authors are requested to show strict compliance with the guidelines. The Publisher reserves the right to return manuscripts that are not prepared in accordance with these instructions laid down in information for authors

Types of Manuscripts: Articles are comprehensive accounts of significant experimental or theoretical work, authors are asked to write their manuscripts in a clear and concise manner and to only include the data crucial for arriving at conclusion. They should be limited to approximately 1,500 words (including tables, figures, and references). Authors are responsible for all statements made in their work and for the accuracy of the bibliographic information. The right is reserved to incorporate any change deemed necessary by the editorial board to make contributions harmonize with the editorial standards of the journal. Work submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. If previously published figures, tables, or parts of text are to be included, the copyright-holder’s permission must have been obtained prior to submission.

Supplementary issue: To accommodate the demand of quick publication of research articles, JIE can arrange the publication of supplementary issues which can be published with OR before each regular issue, comprising of five research articles at-least.

Originality of Manuscript: JIE accepts manuscripts for consideration with the understanding that manuscripts are original material and are not under consideration for publication/ published elsewhere.

The author(s) have to provide an undertaking that the material in the article is original (not plagiarized) and those who contributed to various capacities have either been included as authors or have been duly acknowledged. Authors are bound to submit the Plagiarism/ Similarity Index report with the manuscript. The paper will be published only after its clearance for plagiarism as per HEC policy. For any type of plagiarism, the author (s) will be the sole responsible. The authors will have to fill an undertaking form to authenticate originality of the manuscript and adherence to the publication ethics.
