The Journal of Science Education (JSE) seeks to advance scholarship and professional practice in science education by publishing high-quality, original research that contributes to knowledge, policy, and innovation.

JSE aims to:

Scope

The journal welcomes contributions addressing a wide range of issues in science education, with emphasis on both Basic Sciences and Applied Sciences domains:

  • Basic Sciences Education: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth & Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics.
  • Applied Sciences Education: Computer Science, Engineering, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Technology.

The journal also welcomes articles on science curriculum, book reviews, science education programs, training courses, and policies and plans related to science education. The journal will be published in both print and online formats.

JSE publishes a variety of works, including original papers, case studies, review papers, empirical research, conceptual frameworks, analytical and simulation models, technical notes, and book reviews. It also accepts critical, exploratory, and theoretical papers. The journal operates with a double-blind peer-review process.
