Abstract

Shah Abdul Latif was a philosopher, Sufi poet of Sindhi language, saint and scholar of Sindhi language. This research presents the influence of Arabic language on Latif's poetry. The purpose of this research is to highlight influence of Arabic language into Latif's poetry and understanding significant source of socio-political, ideology, historical conditions.

To evaluate the extent of the practice, the special circumstances under which Latif's poetry takes verses of Holy Quran at phrase and sentence level. The findings indicated influence of Arabic language, a greater degree of Quran verses practice into Latif's poetry.
