Abstract

In Pseudepigraphic Research issues of attributions of texts, books or places etc. to fake authors are examined and attributed to the original authors. Dr. Najmul Islam was the first, who coined the term Tehqeeq-e-Mansoobat for Pseudepigraphic Research in Urdu language. In Tehqeeq-e-Mansoobat in Urdu, Allama Shibli Noumani is the founder of this branch of research. Dr. Nazeer Ahmad is an important figure in Tehqeeq-e-Mansoobat. On his credit, there are research works on Tehqeeq-e-Mansoobat about Meena Bazaar, Misbahul Arwah and other books of Jamali Dehlvi and Jamali Urdistani, Dewan-e-Hafiz and Dewan-e-Umeed, Chandar Badan-o-Mahyar, Moonis-ul-Ahrar, Dewan-e-Khwaja Qutab-ud-Din Bukhtiyar Kaaki, Firhang-e-Qawwas, Kulyat-e-Muhammad Quli Qutab Shah Etc.
