The rhetorical structure in the Prophetic praise’s poetry by Abu Nizar and Farid -ud-Din Al-Attar:(A comparative analytical study in the literature: Arab and Persian)

Abstract

Prophetic praise is a color of expression of religious emotions and a chapter of fine literature because it is expressed only with honesty and sincerity." It is a poetic art, since the forefront of Islam, Muslim poets have paid attention to this art, even though this term was not known in the primary period, and it did not stable until the sixth century of migration. In the first half of this century, the poems of the Prophet’s praise evolved more clearly and flourished as an art of poetry.

The Persian literature was also influenced by this art, and the methods of expression were varied with the diversity of poets in terms of style and images. This does not negate the existence of expressive characteristics that are common in poets when dealing with this topic. Their poems were described by the utter rhetoric which has its highest meanings and ranks.

This research aims to study the rhetorical structure in the poetry of the prophetic praise by Abu Nizar the Arab poet and Farid-ud-Din Al-Attar the Persian poet, and highlight the similarities and differences in their poetry, relying on two approaches: rhetorical analytical and the comparative approach, to identify the features of influence between them.

The research includes the concept of praise, a brief life history of the two poets, the rhetorical analytical and the comparative study of the selected poetic texts with results of this research.
