Dr. Zahoor Ahmad's Contribution in Arabic Poetry

Abstract

Pakistan is one of Islamic country so it is necessary for the people of Pakistan to understand tha Arabic language because it is language of Quran and Sunnah. There are many writers who struggled to improve the level of Arabic language in Pakistan and Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Azhar is one of them. He is a great writer, translator, researcher, columnist and a good teacher. He devoted his life in the service of Islam and for Arabic language. He born in a small village Khabaiki District khushab in Punjab in 1937. He studied as a private student. He wrote hundreds of books and many articles in various newspapers and magazines. Most of his work is in Arabic language. In this article, I have tried to write about his services for Arabic language. He is a lover of Arabic language. He introduced our national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his thoughts in Arab world. He has God-gifted skills about Arabic language. Under his supervision many students have done there PhD. He taught in Pakistani universities as well as in foreign universities including Al-Azhar university in Egypt. He has edited many old Arabic books.
