Abstract

Qasidah Baant Su'aad is an  eminent one, amongst Arabic language  and literature.It is an ancient Qasidah which was composed by Hazrat Ka'ab Bin Zuhair in praising of  Prophet (PBUH).This is  the same  unparalleled Qasidah which was presented by  Ka'ab himself infront of Prophet (PBUH).It was not only listened by Prophet (PBUH) but He also told His companions (RA) to listen.Then Ka'ab was given various gifts and blessings,moreover Prophet (PBUH) blessed him with His holy shawl,that,s why it is called as ''Qasidah Burdah''.Infact, the first Qasidah Burdah is the same.Imam Sharafudden Busiri had written his Qasidah Burdah after getting  inspired from the first.

In every era,scholars have written various explanations of it,under its importance.Number of explanations has been crossed by 48.According to critics,this Qasidah  is best of all praisnig qasidahs literally,figuratively and literary.This Qasidah is  the hallmark of rhetoric and eloquence.All aspects cannot be covered in this summarized dissertation.That,s why,examples of ''Mjaaz'' in this qasidah wiil be highlighted.
