Research Journal Policy
Research Journal Policy
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been consistently striving to enhance the quality of research in Pakistan to align with international standards. Research journals play a vital role in strengthening national research capacity. Accordingly, HEC approves only those research journals that fulfill its prescribed recognition criteria.
To further elevate these journals in line with global best practices, the Commission approved a significant policy shift toward a more transparent, rigorous, and focused framework for the accreditation, monitoring, capacity building, and funding of research journals.
