General Instructions
A research paper reflects the author’s original work on a topic, supported by thorough research, rather than a summary or essay of others. This process can be challenging for both new and experienced writers. The manuscript must be entirely original and not previously published elsewhere. It should be decorated with references of primary sources. Strict adherence to proper writing, spelling, and grammar is essential.
Author Information
Authors must provide the following details on the title page of the manuscript:
 Full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and current position/title, along
with the names of their universities/colleges to facilitate the review process.
 Each author must submit a working email address.
 Manuscripts under consideration must be original and not submitted elsewhere for publication.
Format Requirements
Authors must strictly adhere to the following formatting instructions, as non-
compliance will result in rejection of the manuscript:
 Submissions must be made via email in Microsoft Word format.
 The manuscript should not exceed 25 pages.
 Font size requirements:
1. Main headings: Font size 18
2. Sub-headings: Font size 16
3. Body text:
 Urdu/Arabic: Font size 14
 English: Font size 12
4. Footnotes:
 Urdu/Arabic: Font size 12
 English: Font size 10

 Line spacing: Single throughout the manuscript.
 Header and Footer: The page number should be centered in the footer, and the title
of the paper should appear centered in the header.
 Page setup: Use A4 size in portrait orientation.
 Margins: Set margins at 1.0 inch on the left and right sides, and 0.8 inch on the top
and bottom.
 Paragraph Indentation: The first line of each paragraph should be indented by 0.5
inches, consistently applied throughout the paper.

Plagiarism Policy
 The SHARIAH STUDIES strictly follows the Plagiarism Policy set by HEC guidelines. Submitted manuscripts must have a Turnitin Similarity Report with a similarity index of less than 19%. Authors are expected to submit entirely original work, ensuring that any use of others' contributions is properly cited, with full credit given to the original sources.
