The Use of Modern Electronic Sources for research in Arabic Languag & Litrature

Abstract

Information technology and its applications in every aspect of academic life are changing the entire scenario of learning and research nowadays. Libraries that have long served vital role in learning since the first great library in Alexandria 2,000 years ago are integrating soon with the cyber world to produce Digital Libraries (DLs). The purpose of this paper is to point out the useful sites of Modern sources of research in Arabic Linguistics & Literature with regard to the issues of users and context of information.

Present era has witnessed a special significance: in the realization of the use of electronic sources in the studies of  Arabic language, literature and Islamic Sha’ria sciences.  These  electronic sources and E Libraries have undoubtedly provided a great service in  research and investigation in every field of life so is the matter with Arabic language and literature. Recently, a number of electronic libraries have emerged due to technological advances in various fields of life.Use of  electronic library and other sources in research  in the field of the Arabic language and literature, has made research and access to available information easier,in a shortest time with lot of building spaces as access to old as modern books in elrotonic form, that are stopped by publishing hooter for production.

This paper is an attempt to throw light on the different definitions of the concepts of electronic sources of information, and its uses in the field of Arabic language and literature and  then to elaborate the stages of the development of these sources.
