Abstract

This paper deals with the meaning of Nostalgia and its application in contemporary Urdu Poetry with reference to th Diwan بـﮯ نام مسافت"" : unknown distance of Kishwar Naheed. The poetess applied its various forms in her presentation, as she recalls her childhood, family and friends. she also recovers her past which is full of joys, sorrows, achievements and despondencies. We also find her revolution against her personality & the society in powerful language with strong emotions although she composed it in her last days of life while she became apprised by the grief of time. The Diwan is scaping way from her distress to the comfort of life. Whether  in her imagination or dream.
