Ellipsis and its Rhetorical Secrets in the Holly Hadith -Sharh al Tayebi ala mishkat al masabih as

Abstract

The subject of this research aims to investigate the miraculous nature of the Holly Hadith pertaining the ellipsis (استعارة مكنية) which has been dealt with in semantics by rhetoricians. The study has reviewed the reasons behind ellipsis because the tendency towards it stems from the need to use this method. According to linguists, ellipsis is allowed when its context can be speculated. Then the study has reviewed the types of ellipSsis ranging from the letter, word and up to the sentence level. The study has also memorized the rhetorical nature of the Hadith not only in relation to its magnificent expressiveness but also to the ellipsis process which may benefit the listener and speaker to realize their goal of communication. Thus, considering  the ellipsis process, in the Ahadith studies have achieved their extreme goal, i-e calling people assisting them to be ready for the Day of Judgment befoe Allah.
