Global Trends in Business and Commerce (GTBC)

In today's rapidly evolving academic environment, scholarly journals serve as essential platforms for the dissemination of research, promotion of innovation, and enhancement of institutional visibility. To strengthen the research culture of the university and provide a reputable outlet for high-quality scholarly work, it is proposed that the Department of Business Administration and Commerce establish an international peer-reviewed research journal titled Global Trends in Business and Commerce (GTBC), which will be a strategic investment in the University's research ecosystem and academic excellence agenda.

The journal (GTBC) will publish original research articles, review papers, case studies, and policy oriented research in the broad disciplines of Business, Commerce, Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Finance, Marketing, Digital Transformation, and Sustainable Development and implications of AI in business and commerce decision making. The establishment of the journal (GTBC) is justified because it will be helpful in enhancing research visibility and impact, supporting national and international research agendas, strengthening institutional reputation, facilitating knowledge creation and dissemination capacity building for researchers, prospects for national and international indexing.

The proposed publishing model for the journal (GTBC) will be double-blind peer review system, biannual publication (initially), open access policy, online submission and tracking system, international editorial and advisory boards, and compliance with publication ethics and malpractice standards as per HEC policy guidelines. The proposed journal (GTBC) is expected to enhance the University's research profile and academic prestige, Increase publication opportunities for faculty and researchers, Foster national and international research collaborations, and achieve recognition in national and international indexing databases.
