The leadership strategies implemented by management frequently have an impact on employee performance, which is a critical determinant of organizational success. The data was collected from 150 IT professionals from a variety of companies using standardized questionnaires, as part of a quantitative, correlational research design. Self-reported employee performance was assessed using a self-developed, validated scale, while perceptions of leadership styles were assessed using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ 5X-short). A statistically significant positive association between transformative leadership and employee performance was found through data analysis utilizing multiple regression and Pearson correlation (r = 0.72, p < 0.01). There was also a positive, albeit smaller, link with transactional leadership (r = 0.35, p < 0.01). According to a regression study, transformational leadership outperformed transactional leadership as a predictor of performance (β = 0.65, p < 0.001) (β = 0.20, p < 0.05). The results indicate that although both leadership philosophies work, companies in the fast-paced IT industry should give managers' transformational leadership skills top priority in order to boost worker productivity, engagement, and creativity. By offering quantifiable data unique to the industry to direct leadership development initiatives, this study adds to the body of information already in existence.
2025-12-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 All articles published by JELM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License . Ed Curriculum for Online Teacher Education: Assessing Core and Interdisciplinary Course Integration at the Virtual University of Pakistan 2025-11-06T07:41:30+00:00 Dr. Munawwar Ahmed munawwar.ahmed@vu.edu.pk Darakhshan Muslim darakhshan.zahid@vu.edu.pk Dr. Meimoona Riaz meimoona.riaz@vu.edu.pk
This paper addresses the comparison of course learning Outcomes (CLOs) and the institutional Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) of 272 in 34 minor and interdisciplinary courses of the B.Ed program at Virtual University of Pakistan. The study used the mixed-methods sequential explanatory design to construct CLOs as qualitative thematic content analysis comparing the same to PLOs. Specific themes are pedagogy, assessment, ethics and digital literacy that were manually mapped through validated coding schemes through an excel/NVivo matrices. The quantitative phase used descriptive statistics to issue frequencies of alignment. The findings demonstrate that the core teaching areas are well aligned (PLO1-PLO5), but there is a lack of incorporation of the two PLOs: digital competence (PLO6) and innovation/social responsibility (PLO7). A Three-Level Curriculum Model is then suggested in response to improve virtual teacher training. The implications made by the study are focused on strategic restructuring of the curriculum, whereas its relevance is the ability to provide the replicable model of the outcome-based education quality assurance in the institutions of distance education.
2025-12-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 All articles published by JELM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License . Five from Lahore and three from Karachi educational sector, Pakistan. The study limits itself to the Higher education sector. Criterion sampling is used for the current study as it is among one of the purposeful sampling strategies used for “narrow a range of variation and focus on similarities” (Palinkas et al, 2013). This technique is selected as it is “consistent with the aims and assumption inherent” for a particular method’ (Palinkas et al, 2013).

The criteria for sampling was at least 12 years of experience in the field of education in any capacity, be in a leadership position of higher education for at least 5 years, either have a doctoral degree or have state conferred recognition/award in her name.

The study aims to answer the essential questions about the barriers faced by these women, opportunities provided to them and their mentorship role for the coming generation. A qualitative methodology is used with tools like in-depth interviews and fact sheet for arriving at the lived experiences of these women in the form of deeply felt narratives. Both ‘analysis of narratives’ and ‘narrative analysis’ is used to gather a complete picture of complex human experiences and narrate them in the form of individual stories and a combined thematic analysis.

The study concludes that there is no fixed road map for success in educational leadership which can serve as a blueprint. However, there are over-arching themes like a strong parental support, a broadened vision, higher education and helpful mentors, all of these bring out the best in women to garner their leadership skills. The study also finds barriers like the socio-economic status, a toxic work environment and gender which can hinder the progress of women in Pakistan. However, such barriers can be altered through fortitude, hard work and determination.
2025-12-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 All articles published by JELM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License . This piece of research work intended to explore the challenges encounter by educational leadership in creating learning culture for their faculty in higher education institutes. The study founded on the assumption that educational leaders encourage their faculty to develop learning culture not only for students but also for their faculty — an atmosphere that inspires work-place learning and where both gaining and sharing professional knowledge are prioritized and valued.

The effectiveness of educational leadership for developing learning culture in higher education was rarely discussed. Mainstream higher education researches on leadership largely neglect this aspect of leadership’s role and called for narrowing this gap in the available academic knowledge. This was the specific motive for the study, which pragmatically explored, what tensions surround educational leaderships for developing learning culture for faculty development and which dilemmas they faced during journey of leadership.

This piece of work involved six Heads/Deans of Department of Education from different private universities for research. Semi structured interviews were conducted to collect data. The data provided information about professional experiences and challenges encounter by leadership for developing learning culture, set within the higher educational institutions and focused on the research questions. Thematic analysis was implemented to analyze the qualitative data. The study revealed that nurturing learning environment and supporting faculty development in higher education involved complex challenges, requiring strategic leadership approaches and recognition of faculty contributions.
2025-12-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 All articles published by JELM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License .
