There have been four points of view about this among the scholars of the subcontinent. Firstly, it is necessary to be Qureshi for Khalifah. Secondly, the Caliphate is not proven for non-Qureshi. It is just news in Hadith. Thirdly, Qureshi must be a caliph. However, this is not a condition for "Sultan". Therefore, a nonQureshi can occupy the post of Sultan. Fourthly, the condition described is related to the practical demands and requirements of the politics of that specific period. Therefore, the Muslim scholars of the subcontinent did not deny the validity of the Hadiths regarding the Imamate of Quraish. It is a matter of understanding. Some scholars have considered these traditions in the light of their overall knowledge of Islam and derived meaning from them. It happens that the scholarly tradition of the subcontinent has progressed fully accepting the diversity of the Muslim Ummah.
2024-12-29T18:03:19+00:00Mian Inaam ur RehmanInaam1970@gmail.com
The interrelationship of various subjects mentioned in the Holy Qur'an plays a vital role in interpreting Islamic teachings. Although the statement among the Muhadditheen that the Khabar e Wahid is an authentic and reliable report, it should be necessary to follow it. This is the reason why in case of conflict between Khabar e Wahid and Qiyas, the Qiyas are given absolute priority by abandoning the tradition. However, the Qiyas is given absolute priority over the Khabr e Wahid, it is not a real and correct view of Hanafi Ammah, because the arguments and scholarly statements of Hanafi Aimmah are absolutely clear, and those statements describe this aspect. They are that if there is evidence of the validity of the tradition, it would be followed according to the tradition and counter-inferences will be made. Yes, of course, this aspect is because the scope and implementation of the Khabar e Wahid with the Hanafi Aimmah are different from the perspective of the Muhadditheen. So, this article highlights these details with the statements of different Hanafi Aimmah and explains the thoughts of Hanafi Aimmah in the way of contradiction between Khabr e Wahid and Qiyas.
Muzaffar Alimuzaffarali.bukc@bahria.edu.pk
The research titled "Orientalist Arnold Joseph Toynbee and his Vision about Islam (An Analytical and Critical Study)" delves into the influential perspective of renowned British historian and philosopher, Arnold Joseph Toynbee, on Islam. Toynbee's seminal work, "A Study of History," has profoundly shaped Western perceptions of the Muslim world. However, his portrayal of Islam as an "incomplete civilization" has sparked considerable debate and critique, particularly among scholars challenging his Orientalist lens .This paper provides an analytical and critical examination of Toynbee's Orientalist perspective on Islam and its implications within "A Study of History." By scrutinizing the historical context and philosophical underpinnings that informed Toynbee's views, the article reveals the reductionist and essentialist nature of his understanding of Islam. It argues that Toynbee's portrayal oversimplifies the complexity of Islamic civilization and fails to acknowledge its diverse contributions to human history.

Through a nuanced analysis, the research article seeks to interrogate Toynbee's depiction of Islam, aiming to offer a more comprehensive understanding of the religion and its historical significance. By challenging Toynbee's Orientalist framework, the paper contributes to broader discussions surrounding the representation of Islam in Western scholarship and advocates for a more inclusive and respectful approach to studying the Muslim world.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://ojs.aiou.edu.pk/index.php/dirayat/article/view/2702The Role of Economic Activities of Sahaba (R.A) in the Evolution of Islamic Culture: An Analysis2024-12-29T18:17:05+00:00Dr. Muhammad Arfandrmirfan84@gmail.com
The life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the ultimate standard for Muslims. He as well as all his teachings, theoretical & practical, were a role model for mankind. He introduced a din(religion) where isolation was prohibited. He established a state to lead the universe where besides other requirements, economic stability was indispensable. An economically self-sufficient state has the full strength to dominate others. His Sahaba(R.A) engaged themselves in different economic activities, trading, agriculture, dairy farming, gardening, crafting, goldsmithing, blacksmithing, carpentry, tailoring, laboring, etc., by obeying him. These traders and skilled persons exported their traditions, morals, and culture to other states with their products. Muslims were the first nation to permit others to adopt their traditions and culture. This step made the revolution in world history because ancestor-ruling civilizations (Grecian, Roman, Persian) did not allow other nations to adopt their traditions. In this article, the economic activities of sahaba(R.A) have been studied and analyzed that how these activities developed the Islamic culture.
2024-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024
